Birendra Kumar Chaudhary – Member of Parliament

Bio:
Shri Birendra Kumar Chaudhary is a present member of parliament from Jhanjharpur, a Lok Sabha constituency. He is a politician associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was inducted into BJP during the 2014 general elections. He assumed office officially on 16th May 2014, after taking over the reins from Mangani Lal Mandal.
His educational qualifications include a bachelor of laws degree (LLB) and a Master of Arts degree (M.A). Before delving into politics, he was an avid social worker and reformer.

Involvement in the party and the government:
After winning the elections in 2014, Birendra Kumar Chaudhary took to the Lok Sabha to represent his views and political opinions quite fiercely. His average attendance for the budget meetings of the Lok Sabha sessions stands at 97 percent, one of the highest attendance percentages as observed amongst all the other parliament members. He has attended a total of 36 debates in the Railways Budget of 2014 to Discussion of Union budget for 2018-2017.
He also served as Bihar's legislative council member from 2004 to 2010.  He is also the member of the standing committee on Industry, a member of the consultative committee for the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Shipping. He is also a member of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation.

Allies:
He has strong relationships with other MPs, the likes of which include Ashwini Kumar Choubey, the present minister of state for health and family welfare and also a fellow BJPmember. He also served as the former health minister of Bihar. Another one of his strong ties also includes Janardan Singh Sigriwal, the former Minister of Labor Resources.
